Terra Matter was a book project that was made out of a collaboration between the art department and natural science collections at Oregon State University. Working in a team of three with one other graphic designer, Lexie Rietze, and one photography major, Hannah Jarden, we were one of four teams creating book options for the curators of the natural science collections to choose to attempt to bring into productions. I created and screen printed the illustration for the front cover of our book as well as designing the layout for this 100-page book. With that said, this project was the most successful team project I’ve ever been apart of. Every step of the way, from picture choice to printing to covering the book, all three of us were there giving input and bouncing ideas off of one another. The book is only as beautiful as it is because of the two other amazing women I worked with.
